Jantzen Combed Natural Sheep Wool - 1kg
Filler for acoustic damping of loudspeaker enclosures.
The long fibers support the absorption and attenuation of the lower audio frequency range (<1 kHz) in subwoofers and transmission lines particularly well. Due to the resulting sonic differences, the use of this type of attenuation is a necessary "must" for many well-known high-end loudspeaker manufacturers.
For loudspeaker applications, the extremely fine fibers are combed and processed into extremely dense so-called horsetail hair. Unlike other plastic fibres, carded wool is very good at dissipating heat-generated vibrations, which means that it absorbs the energy of movement in a completely different way than conventional materials used for damping. This wool is a much better alternative to damping materials otherwise used in loudspeaker enclosures. In short, this product provides a very direct and fast reproduction of low frequencies in subwoofers and transmission lines. Low-frequency resonances are suppressed so effectively that an extremely deep and clear bass reproduction is obtained.
1kg is enough to dampen the housing of 20 liters.
Sold in bags of 1 kg.
